A Landmark Visit: New Era College Welcomes the Minister of Higher Education

This morning we were honoured to welcome the Honourable Minister of Higher Education, Hon. Prince Maele, and his delegation to New Era College for an engaging campus tour. The visit marked an important moment of collaboration as we continue to work hand-in-hand with the Ministry to be the Government's ideal workforce development partner and aim to assist them in their goal to advance skills development in Botswana.

During the tour, the delegation explored our state-of-the-art learning environments and most importantly, connected directly with our students. These interactions offered an authentic glimpse into the impact of our training.

Our mission, at New Era College, goes beyond preparing students to enter the workforce, we are intentional about developing future employers and industry leaders. Through our hands-on, TVET-driven approach, we equip students with technical expertise as well as the entrepreneurial mindset needed to create opportunities, build businesses and drive economic
growth.

It was encouraging to hear, during the visit, how pleased the Honourable Minister was when many of our students shared their ambitions to establish their own enterprises upon completion. New Era College proudly stands as the first private institution to pursue TVET programmes seventeen years ago, laying the foundation for practical, industry-driven learning.
